Sonnenglas Company Device Usage and Responsibility Policy

This policy provides guidelines for the responsible use and care of company-issued devices (including smartphones, laptops, and other electronic equipment) at SONNENGLAS. It is designed to ensure these devices are used effectively for business purposes and are properly maintained.
Scope:
This policy applies to all SONNENGLAS employees who are issued company devices.
Issuance of Devices:
Devices are issued for conducting SONNENGLAS business and enhancing work efficiency.
Each device is the responsibility of the individual employee to whom it is assigned.
Proper Use:
Primary use of the devices should be for business-related activities. Limited personal use is allowed if it does not impact work performance or contravene company policies.
Installing unapproved software or applications is prohibited.
Compliance with all SONNENGLAS security protocols, including password use and data encryption, is mandatory.
Care and Maintenance:
Employees are responsible for the general upkeep of the device.
Devices should be securely stored to prevent theft, loss, or damage.
Any technical issues, damage, or malfunctions must be reported to the IT department immediately.
Lost or Stolen Devices:
Report lost or stolen devices to management and the IT department within 24 hours.
Employees may be held financially liable for replacement if loss or theft occurs due to negligence.
Damage and Repairs:
Report accidental damage immediately. SONNENGLAS will cover repairs for normal wear and accidental damage. Negligent or intentional damage may result in the employee bearing repair or replacement costs.
Return of Devices:
Devices must be returned in good condition upon termination of employment or when requested by SONNENGLAS. Failure to return the device may result in salary deductions or legal actions.
Data Management:
All data on the device is SONNENGLAS property.
Avoid storing sensitive personal data on the device.
SONNENGLAS reserves the right to access, monitor, and review device data.
Compliance: Policy violations may lead to disciplinary actions, including potential termination. Employees are expected to adhere to this policy and all relevant laws and regulations.
Acknowledgment:
Employees must sign to acknowledge they have read, understood, and agree to follow this policy.
Effective Date:
This policy is effective from December 1st 2023.
